Where to put your shoes?

If you’ve ever lived in Japan, you would realize Japan has a unique etiquette when it comes to putting your shoes.

Firstly, you’ll need to change your shoes zillion times a day. When you get indoors, you’ll need to change into indoors slippers. When you go outside, you change back into your original shoes. When you go into a toilet, you change into some plastic shoes specially for toilet. When you finish toilet, you change back into your slippers. When you go into some particular areas, such as a tearoom, playroom, etc  you do the same. So you may need to change your shoes 10 times a day and it’s no unusual. It is stilling driving me nuts!

What’s this? It was put at the door of a clinic I went to the other day. You need to put your shoes on top and then, the machine will give you a pair of guest slippers at the bottom. Funny isn’t it?
